Tributes 2025
Ivan Bupp
Ivan was the best dog! Super quirky and loved to be outside roaming the yard. He was well known and loved by our neighborhood. One of our favorite memories of Ivan is when the kids would leave the yard to go to a friend’s house, and Ivan would then run to the back door and “talk” to let us know they left. Ivan enjoyed bones, treats, and long walks. He LOVED his “little” brother and sister. Our house feels empty without him and we miss him so much! With lots of tears, we had to say goodbye to our sweet, sweet Ivan. We love you buddy❤️

Sammy Rasmussen
I wanted to share some beautiful memories of my Sammy. He was such a special dog, born on July 3rd, 2009. Sammy wasn’t just a pet; he was truly part of our family. He had the most amazing personality – so loyal and loving, everyone who met him instantly adored him. I’ll never forget how he stayed by my side for four whole months after my brother passed away. He wouldn’t even leave me to go to the bathroom! He was my rock, my constant companion, helping me through such a difficult times and which he did the same thing when my dad and mom died. Sammy was loved by everyone – Lindsey, Kyle, Adam, and of course, me! I chose him when he was just six weeks old, and he quickly became my best friend, my furry soulmate. He was, without a doubt, my person. Losing him on February 12th, 2025, left a huge hole in our hearts. We miss him terribly.
(July 3rd, 2009 – February 12th, 2025)
Sweetie Vanier
Sweetie was a 15 and a half year old pit bull. I adopted her from the ASPCA in Harrisburg when she was 4 yrs old. She was always a good dog with a bit of mischief built in. She loved a good walk and loved meeting new people. She never met a stranger and she never honored your personal space. She loved when you threw a blanket over her and she would walk around while wearing it. We had a good long life together and I will forever be missing a part of my heart. She is now pain free and waiting at the Rainbow bridge for me.
6/19/09 to 1/24/25
Lexi Sipe
We got Lexi back in April of 2013 and we instantly fell in love. She had a rough start of her life, but we changed that. She was so spoiled and had the best personality. She had the normal stubbornness of a bull terrier, but we wouldn’t change it for anything. She loved her sissy (most of the time) and would love curling up with her on the couch and taking nap. For the last 4 years she got sick and had spent health issues that left her on medication for the rest of her life. We really thought we were going to lose her then, but the vets gave us another 4 years with her. We are forever grateful for that. Unfortunately we recently got bad news that she has a softball size mass on her liver and we didn’t want her to go through anymore treatments or a surgery. It’s not a goodbye, it’s cya later.

Shay Ann Nelson a loyal and caring companion who enjoyed life and loved.
Gus Thoman
In Loving Memory of Gus
2014 – 2025
Gus was more than a beloved pet—he was family. For eleven wonderful years, his brindle coat, soulful eyes, and spirited personality filled our home with warmth and joy. He had a sassy charm that made us laugh and a loving heart that reminded us daily what unconditional love truly means. Whether eagerly waiting for his next meal or nestled beside us at home, Gus was happiest when surrounded by those who loved him most. He brought comfort in quiet moments, companionship in every season, and gratitude to our hearts in ways words can scarcely express. Though his paws no longer echo through our halls, his presence remains—in the love he gave so freely and the memories he leaves behind. Thank you, Gus, for eleven beautiful years of loyalty, laughter, and love. You will forever be in our hearts. 🐾
Charlie Garrett
Here is my Charlie..

He loved to swim ..take his baths.. play with Luna …play ball and go camping..
Paco Bear
Paco
(2/16/14 – 10/16/25)
was a gentle giant. He started as our empty nest pup and quickly became a core part of our family. Weighing 110lbs, his size was sometimes off-putting, but his playfulness and love of small children made him endearing and such a great member of our family. We miss you so much, Paco Bean… 💔
Isis Brandt
I want to thank you SO much for the caring way you handled my loss of Isis. She was a dear friend for 19.5 years. She would usually sleep on my chest at night, especially if I was trying to read a book! She would purr and constantly “mark” my glasses – in case I forgot she was there. I will always remember the day we brought her home – a rescue and very shy. That sure changed! She acted as mother to all the others, even to the point of cleaning our beagles’ faces. Again, thank you.
Beau Myers
In loving memory of Beau
May 11, 2013- October 5, 2025
Beau was our fun, loving, loyal fur baby that enjoyed duck hunting, hiking in the mountains, boat rides, playing with his football and being with our 5 grandchildren when they would come to visit . We miss him so much . RIP until we meet again.
Sadie Pier
Sadie
March 23, 2008 – September 22, 2025
Our sweet diva Sadie passed away peacefully at home, embraced in love, after 17 and a half wonderful years. She was my first big “adult” purchase after college. Growing up, I had always dreamed of having a dog, but it was never in the cards. When Sadie came into my life, that childhood dream finally came true. In her younger days, Sadie loved going for walks, playing with her doggie friends, and going on trips wherever the next adventure would take us. She was my loyal companion through every season of life. Later in life, you could always find her scouring under the table for scraps or charming whichever “weak link” she could find, often our kids, into sneaking her extra treats. She was clever, determined, and always ready for a snack. She loved to sunbathe, always seeking out the warmest patch of sunlight, and she could happily spend hours outside basking in the sun and sniffing the fresh air. She always greeted us with such joy, wagging her tail with so much excitement it nearly knocked her over. Our house feels emptier without her, but our hearts are forever full because of her. Until we meet again, sweet girl — I’ll be waiting for the day you greet me at the end of the rainbow bridge.
Karma King
February 7, 2012 – August 29, 2025
You were four months old when you hopped out of that SUV and into my life; the last of your 10 puppy litter to be adopted and the one that lived the longest *by far.* All head and paws, you were so timid when you walked over to your new parents but you jumped right in the car to head to your new home! You were my BigGirl (in her middle years), my BabyGirl (in her senior years), My Precious (always)… your nicknames could go on forever, but the one CONSTANT adjective I always heard during your encounters was “Sweet.” You shared that sweetness with the world for thirteen years that can’t truly be put into words and that I wouldn’t trade for anything. Rest easy, Karma Girl. Always the sweetest.
Gunner Landis
12/25/16 – 8/19/25
They were inseparable from day one, an unbreakable bond between a boy and his pup. Gunner’s unwavering loyalty never wavered, always by Bubs’ side. Gunner loved to eat deer steak, sweet strawberries, duck jerky, bananas and he would run to get a piece of licorice when he heard the licorice bag open. Gunner loved car rides and to go walking at the lake and play in the water. Gunner was a full spirited boy until cancer took over his body. Though it’s a bittersweet day, Gunner’s spirit now runs free. Surely, his brother and sister , Harley and Belle welcomed him as he crossed the rainbow bridge. 💙 Run free, Gunner Boy!
Oscar Rhoads
Oscar was such a great dog, old and stinky but forever loving to the end. He will be missed by all. Longest we’ve ever loved a pet ❤
Tazwolf Fountain
October 24, 2014 – August 19, 2025
Tazwolf was the absolute best furry companions, lap dog, protector and guardian of balls. Born with a severe case of hip dysplasia, he managed to run, play, and simply be himself. Thank you and Dr. Mary for helping us to help him cross that rainbow bridge peacefully.
Callie Stetz
On August 8 (2025), we said goodbye to Callie, who came to us as a rescue, malnourished and with Lyme disease. She had lived her first three years in an outside box/crate, after a breeder/farmer had decided she did not make the grade as a hunting dog. To us she was a loving family member and friend to all, both human and canine. She even came to tolerate rabbits and squirrels. Cats…not so much. : ) We are deeply saddened by her passing and wish we could have done more for her, but we understand that a hard early life stacked the odds against her. We are eternally grateful for the seven years of a good life we were able to give her and the boundless love she gave us in return.
2015 – 2025
Bob Eichelberger
2008-2025
I don’t remember much about the early days with Bob when we brought him home as a kitten. Our house was pretty lively at that time, being blessed with seven grandkids in eight years. We had already had a cat and they hit it off great. Sadly, he lost his friend and over the years he had one other companion that he outlived. That’s when we became best buddies. In the last few years, I’ve had some major surgeries and suffered through the loss of our 42 year old son. Somehow he knew just how to comfort me. He was definitely my soul cat. I struggle with the idea of getting another cat as I know there with never be another “Bob”. When he got sick, there was no question; I wanted him to “peacefully pass”, and he did with me holding him. I will miss my buddy forever.
Sophie Emig
Missing my Sophie girl…6 years after adopting her from a really unfair and hard life as a puppymill mama. 8/7/25 was the day she crossed the beautiful bridge at home, comfortable, and surrounded by us as well as her fur siblings . She was the piece that fit our rescue puzzle. despite a bells palsy diagnosis, Cushing’s diagnosis and having multiple mammory tumors remised, she was so friggin resilient! we did whatever we needed for her best interest, however her sclerotic intestinal disease and a tumor in her belly took us down a path that there was no longer hope for ….my heart is shattered…she was our first baby girl…and we are forever scared and impacted by how loving, trusting, and how darn smart she was…will forever miss her smell, antics, and personality…she was a beautiful soul.
Freya Vila
2/14/2018-7/28/2025
Although we did not name her, she fit her name. She was a magical warrior surrounded by love. 7 years ago, we were looking to adopt a friend for our newly adopted puppy Rudy, who was a good boy with some heavy anxiety. Freya became his sister and best pal. She came to us at 6mo old, one month after she was found with a broken leg and an amputation surgery in which her front left leg was removed. Her disability was never an obstacle for her because she played like she never knew she needed four legs. Freya loved her family every moment of every day and we all loved her with all our hearts! She loved watching birds while they sang, chasing but never catching bunnies, and barking at the vacuum, ice maker, and neighbor dogs. But most of all, Freya loved her stuffed Scooby, whom she grabbed any time she had big & happy feelings! She was quite the character who was tough on the outside but a baby on the inside. She is missed each & everyday by her family and most of all by her brother Rudy. After she crossed the bridge, we imagine her running free with all 4 legs, sniffing the sniffs, and listening to birds sing. 🐾 💗
Molly Hormel
March 14, 2008 – July 16, 2025
With shattered hearts and abundances of tears we had to say goodbye to our precious girl, Molly. We were so blessed to have her by our side for over 17 years. Molly had her own unique personality, some of us called it an ‘Old Soul’. She loved to go everywhere we went, if she knew we were leaving soon, she would park her butt right at the front door so we wouldn’t leave without her. She loved being outside, going for walks (which we never got far because she had to smell everything), sharing your meals with you and snuggling up close at bedtime. Our home is definitely not the same without her here and we are missing a huge piece of our heart. Until we meet again, keep chasing those bunnies and know we love you and miss you more than you will ever know..
Thomas Markley
April 4th 2009-July 5th 2025
Thomas my boy, What a ride we had! Thank you for 16 years. I am missing you terribly buddy but I know someday we will meet again at the Rainbow Bridge. Love you forever, mom.♥️🌈
Smokey Slabonik
03/15/06-07/11/25
Smokey was the best cat anyone could ever ask for. I had the privilege of loving Smokey for 19 years and 1 day. I was just seven years old when we brought him home, and from that moment on, he supported me through everything. He was especially there for me during the hardest time when our dad passed away. Smokey loved his ear and chin scratches and enjoyed the freedom of being an indoor/outdoor cat. He was always good at letting us know when he wanted to go outside to sunbathe or sip from driveway puddles or the bottom of the slide. He loved visiting the neighbor and hanging out in her yard, and she loved helping care for him whenever I was away on vacation. As he got older, Smokey developed arthritis, but he handled his nightly kitty Advil like a champ. By the time he turned 18, his meow had transformed into a demanding scream—usually to request more treats! Smokey was a very dedicated and loyal cat. After our dad passed, I asked Smokey to stay with me for at least one more year. And of course, he did just that—passing away five days before the one-year anniversary of our dad’s death. I couldn’t be more grateful to him for sticking with me through that year. Smokey was truly one of a kind. I couldn’t be more thankful that he was mine. I miss you so so much my Mokey Babies, I can’t wait to see you again. I love you long time.
Chaos Nye
2011-2025
Chaos, a one-year-old pup who unexpectedly stole our hearts. We welcomed him into our home as a foster, intending to provide temporary care until he found his forever family. But fate had other plans. From the moment he arrived, Chaos was a whirlwind of nervous energy, grappling with a multitude of anxieties. Through patient & training, a boundless supply of delicious treats, and an abundance of loving belly rubs, he conquered his fears. It was a journey of profound transformation, witnessing his anxieties melt away, replaced by a blossoming confidence and playful spirit. Chaos didn’t just become a beloved pet; he became a cherished member of our family. He taught us invaluable lessons about resilience, the power of positive reinforcement, and the incredible adaptability of the canine spirit. His growth was remarkable, revealing a charming personality brimming with unexpected quirks. Who knew a dog could have such a refined palate, demonstrating a clear preference for oranges and steak? And his uncanny ability to anticipate and alert us to potential household mischief was both hilarious and surprisingly helpful! His time with us was a testament to the transformative power of love and unwavering dedication. Chaos showed us that with patience and compassion, even the most daunting obstacles can be overcome. The rewards of his journey – the joy, the companionship, the countless lessons learned – were truly immeasurable. His memory is a precious gift, forever etched in our hearts. We are eternally grateful for the opportunity to have shared his life, and for the wisdom he so generously.
Piper Davidson
In memory of Piper
4/30/11 – 6/19/25
Piper graced my world for an amazing 14 years. I got her as a puppy and we went through this life together, my best friend. I remember when she was a puppy and she encountered snow for the first time. She would have stayed out all day doing zoomies if I let her. When it was time to come inside she would sit and look out the window and cry because she wanted to go out and play some more. She loved going for long walks ending with ice cubes, going for Jeep rides, getting ice cream, and tearing apart all the stuffies to get the squeaker out. When she was 7 we got her a buddy to have and it sparked a new joy in her. Trevor misses you every day. We love and miss you so much sweet old girl. Till we meet again…
Titan Rhoten
In memory of Titan
(7/6/14 – 6/9/25)
I adopted Titan on 4/24/2017. I was not shopping for a dog or puppy at the time, but a friend of mine was helping and fostering for a local rescue and posted a video of Titan showing off all his manners and tricks. I have never owned a dog before, but I was smitten with Titan and kept watching the video over and over. I finally built up some nerves and reached out to my friend for more information. She had shared that there was a lengthy waitlist for him, but if I was serious we should set up a meet/greet ASAP. A few days later, Titan and I met and the rest is history. We were a perfect match and were meant to be together. It wasn’t long before Titan became my shadow, my personal body guard, my home security, my travel buddy, and my best friend. I am so thankful that I was selected to be Titan’s mom. I have collected lots and lots of memories that I will continue to hold close to my heart. Thank you Titan for your unconditional love and being my best friend. You have taught me so much over the last 8 years & adopting you was one of the best decisions I have made in my life. I hope you are up on all fours again, running and shaking your rubber squeaky ducks, chasing all the leaves and bubbles and chomping at all the garden hoses and sprinklers. Love you buddy!
Butterscotch Tokach
Butterscotch was my lover boy! He was rescued from the SPCA via a foster home on one September day while I and a friend were at a craft festival in Hegins, PA. Never would I have known that day, that he would be my best friend and sweet boy who would be by my side wherever I was. He started out loving the outdoors and was trained to come inside around dinner time. He had so many adventures in his life, that nothing ceased to amaze me on how he handled each one. He was such a trooper even during the tough times. He was a brother to his older sister Tippor, and would love chasing her inside the house and riding on her back. Oh did she hate that! But he just wanted to play and irritate her at times.😊 Butterscotch got older and his grumpy old man syndrome took over. He had this cranky quack of a meow whenever he wanted something, especially if he wanted to drink water — he was spoiled and drank from the bathroom faucet. He always got his way, no matter what. And, one heck of a picky eater! Buying him everything and anything to get him to eat as he got older. Then, along came his next sister, Bootsy. He was totally stressed out when she came home. He growled and hissed, characteristics I’ve never seen in him before. But, low and behold, the unforeseen happened after time. Butterscotch loved his young sister Bootsy so much!❤️ You could find the two of them together 24/7 cuddled like two peas in a pod or giving each other licky kisses. Bootsy misses Butterscotch deeply. My heart is broken, the tears keep falling at the mention of your name, and I miss my boy so much! Butterscotch, know that mom has always loved you and always will. Your soul and spirit will remain here at home. God Bless you my little boy! We got our Raina when she was 3 years old. She was born March 10, 2010 and passed March 1, 2025. She was a gentle giant, not much of a play ball kind of dog but calm and sweet. She loved belly rubs and would yell at you (by howling) when you stopped because she just wanted you to keep going. She always got scared when there was a thunderstorm and would come closer to us. She was our first dog, she helped welcome our sons who loved her and loved them back. She would never sit or lay down when it came to car rides, she always stood and watched the whole way. She loved cracking open eggs on Easter to find her treats, and ripping her stuffed toys apart on Christmas. We will miss you Raina, we hope you’re running around and getting all the belly rubs you deserve. We love you our sweet Raina, woowooo.

Sierra Bobak
In memory of Sierra
AKC name Sarah Sierra Bella – she was always called Sierra.
DOB: 8/16/2014
GOTCHA DAY: 3/25/2016
DOD: 5/21/2025
We rescued Sierra when she was 19 months old becoming her third and forever family. Sierra was our only brown Newfie. She had a great disposition which allowed her to follow our other Newf’s footsteps into the Pet Therapy field. Sierra loved visiting the various facilities spreading her infectious butt wiggles, kisses and slobber. She enjoyed the multitude of belly rubs and exclamation of ” what a gorgeous baby”, that she received on all of Pet Therapy visits. Sierra not only did Pet Therapy for the public, she was also Momma’s girl. We often say we were not sure who rescued who? Sierra loved to bark and chase squirrels and rabbits. She also loved her bones and snoozing on the deck. Sierra was the only dog we’ve known that had to put her entire chest in the water bowl to get a drink. She would then come dripping wet into the family room and give her head a big old shake showering you and everything around you with all that chest water. I think is was her way of sharing. Sierra has left a big whole in iur hearts and home. We miss you dearly. Run pain free now and until we meet again- Remember- ” I LOVED YOU BEST “

Hooch Schuder
4/27/2013 -12/23/2025
When my husband passed away my daughter felt I needed a four legged companion to keep me company. Mind you, I wasn’t sure I was ready. Well, once I saw Hooch’s picture my heart melted. I adopted him in 2013. We became family and best friends and were inseparable for 13 years. Hooch was so full of energy. He loved chasing tennis balls or playing hide and seek. We would go on long walks down by the pond where he would watch the fish swim and head back on the trail where he would bark at all the wildlife. He had lots of doggie friends in the neighborhood and he would always stop to rub noses. His favorite treat was carrots. He loved ice cubes and when it snowed he couldn’t wait to get outside to eat the snow. Whenever I had to go out he would be lying by the door when I got home. At bedtime he would get in his bed and I would cover him with his blanket only to find him lying on the floor next to my bedside the next morning. As the years wore on the playing got less and the walks got shorter. He had arthritis in his hips and the medicines were no longer working. He was struggling to get up on his own. He was 15 years old and his body was just wearing out. I knew it was time to let him go. He crossed the Rainbow Bridge on 12/23/25. Hooch, I miss you every minute of every day. You left a big hole in my heart, but you also left me with so many wonderful memories that I will forever cherish. Thank you for always being by my side and giving me so much unconditional love. You were my best friend. Until we meet again, run and play and chase those tennis balls my sweet boy.
